Understanding permissions

This article outlines the current permissions.

We currently offer the following "User" permissions in our console:

Role	Permission	Effect
User	LIST (not an explicit frontend choice)	Allows "User" roles to see a list of objects (e.g., PLCs) in the console without being able to see additional details (e.g., configuration of a PLC)
	READ	Allows "User" roles to see additional details like configurations of an object (e.g., PLC name, associated gateway, IP address) without being able to edit information
	EDIT	Allows "User" roles to edit configuration information of objects (e.g., PLCs or Projects)
	EDIT + DEPLOY	Specifically for Controls (PLCs), this permission allows "User" roles to deploy projects to the PLC on the shop floor
	ADMIN (incl. DELETE)	Allows "User" roles to perform all actions in Controls (PLCs) and / or Projects
