Overview

This tool provides backup functionality for SEW-EURODRIVE MotionStudio devices by opening linked projects and uploading all configured devices for analysis and comparison.

Functionality

Project and Device Management

The tool opens linked MotionStudio projects and automatically uploads all devices within the project structure, ensuring complete backup coverage without manual selection.

VarData Processing

VarData files are stored in binary format. The tool extracts parameter information from these binary files and converts it into a human-readable format for analysis.

Following VarData formats can be extracted:

vb7, vd0, vdt, v07, vmg, vda, vmd, vmt

Parameter Visualization

Extracted parameters are displayed in the project viewer, typically in table format. The tool highlights differences between configurations, enabling users to quickly identify changes in device settings and track configuration variations over time.
