License Management
IDEaaS Licensing
To use IDE-as-a-Service for vendors requiring a license, such as Siemens Projects with TIA Portal or Simatic Manager, you must upload your own license to the SDA platform. These licenses will function as floating licenses. For example, if your account has 2 licenses, two users can simultaneously open and work in IDEaaS sessions.
To upload your own license, first, go to the License Manager page by clicking the “License Manager” button on the sidebar. Once on this page, you will see a list of all your current licenses. From here, you can easily add a new license by clicking the “Create License” button and following the prompts to upload your license file. You can also manage your existing licenses on this page, including deleting licenses you no longer need.

Siemens
To successfully set up your Siemens software, you'll need to upload two essential files: a license file and a CSV file that contains specific details regarding the license.
License File: This file serves as authentication for your software, verifying that you have the necessary legal rights to use it.
CSV File: The CSV file must include critical information about the license, such as the type of license, expiration date, and other pertinent details.
To assist you in creating these files, we provide a comprehensive step-by-step guide. You can access these instructions by clicking on the link titled "How can I prepare a Siemens license?" Rockwell
To add a Rockwell license, you need a valid serial ID and product key. These details are provided by your authorized Rockwell reseller or can be obtained directly from Rockwell Support. Ensure that the license has not been previously hosted or activated on any other machine—this means the license must be unassigned and eligible to be activated on our dedicated license server.
