Create repository

How to create a repository and decompose the project

  • Locate the corresponding project in the Projects section of the SDA Console.

Note that you can search for the right projects in multiple ways:

  • Use search function in the top right corner to search via the project name

  • Use the filters at the top to filter via linked devices, PLC vendors, IDE version and tags

  • Use the sorting function on the right to change the order of the project list

  • Click on "Create Repository" on the tile of the project

  • In the following screen you will be able to choose a repository name and description. We recommend to choose the same name as the project name.

  • Afterwards the decomposition of the project will start and you are automatically redirect to the decomposition log screen.

The decomposition logs can also be accessed at a later stage when click on "Decomposition Logs" in the menu on the left while being in the repository.

  • Once the decomposition is done, you will be automatically forwarded to the repository view.

  • In the repositories you can access the individual components of the project and view them. The overview page (see below) gives you can overview of all program blocks, devices and PLC tag tables of the project.
